Title III English Learners

The primary objective of the Title III service is to ensure that all English Learners (EL) receive effective instruction to become English proficient. The CESA #11 Title III program supports our districts by assisting with Title III planning, implementation and evaluation for students who are identified as ELs.

Program & Resource Sharing: We will designate time for coordinators from different districts to learn about each other’s EL programs, share resources, and collaborate on best practices. We will also continue to develop an archive of shared resources for EL coordinators and teachers.

Professional Partnerships: By connecting with local, national, and international educational organizations, we will learn about how to connect and embed EL programming with other initiatives and programs (i.e. RtI, PBIS, Special Education, Future Ready, ESSA, and other Title programs) and how to become advocates of the Title III program inside and outside of the school building.

Curriculum Connection: Drawing on state and national standards (i.e. WIDA, Common Core, ISTE), we will focus on how to connect with content and grade level educators to promote best practices in language learning and culturally responsive practices.

Family & Community Engagement: We will learn about effective ways to engage the families and communities of English learners and ensure equitable access to learning opportunities for all ELs and their families.
