The CESA 11 UDL team works with partners like the Wisconsin DPI, the UDL Center, and CAST to provide regional training and in-district professional development to support the utilization of the UDL framework, which can be used with all students in all content areas to provide flexible, personalized, and inclusive learning environments in which all students can be successful. 

UDL is a way of planning and designing learning that helps give all students an equal opportunity to succeed.  The first step in the UDL Design Process is for teachers and students to set clear and rigorous learning goals.  The second step is to anticipate any barriers (where students might “get stuck” in a lesson or activity) and to plan for learner variability.  The third step is to design flexible learning options for students that removes barriers, addresses learner variability, and results in students achieving the desired learning goals.
