Special Education Instructional Media Center (SEIMC)

The CESA #11 SEIMC (Special Education Instructional Media Center) is designed to meet the curricular and professional needs of all staff working with students with disabilities in CESA #11. The library is home to a wide variety of instructional materials and resources to enhance student learning and engagement across all abilities and environments. The library collection spans grades PreK-12 and all curricular areas including academics, social-emotional, functional, language, assistive technology, motor, vocational, sensory, assessments, and professional development. The evolving collection of resources through the SEIMC has been purchased by CESA #11 to provide schools the opportunity to explore and trial new, evidence-based resources to find the best fit to meet diverse student and school needs that are ever-changing. A SEIMC Advisory Committee, consisting of special education staff across our membership districts, devises plans for resource expansion and growth that are most meaningful and effective for our school districts.
