Regional Leadership Day

“Empty Your Backpack” is the message that 87 middle and high school students heard from international speaker, Sam Demma, at the Regional Student Leadership Day at CESA 11 in October. Students learned about the importance of not carrying around thoughts and words of others in their backpack.

Sweet 2B Me Day

Thirty-two student in grades 5-8 came to CESA 11 for the Sweet 2B Me event where students learned about process vs. product, perfectionism, mindfulness, and dealing with failure from guest presenters. It was a busy and active day!

Fun with Photography

Students in grades 4-6 learned about the history of photography and camera progression, took pictures to keep with a polaroid camera, used their creativity with digital photograph, and finally mounted their own photo masterpiece to take home. Thank you to Amy Salvaterra, professional photographer, for leading us in a day of learning!

Writing Scripts to Screen

Four teams of students in grades 5-8 attended the 3-day GT Grant event, Writing Scripts to Screen. Students learned about writing scripts and putting those words into a short film from guest screenwriter, Charis.Collins. It was definitely a great learning experience!
